Ms. Subramaniam, AIA, LEED AP, serves as Vice President and Aviation Market Director, leading the firm’s aviation business line and strategic pursuits nationwide. In this role, she oversees business development, strengthens client relationships, and aligns technical excellence with Urban’s long-term vision for growth in the aviation sector.

 

With more than 20 years of experience as a senior project manager and architect, Ms. Subramanian brings extensive expertise in the design and delivery of complex transportation projects. Her experience spans all phases of project delivery, including condition assessments, concept development, construction documentation, and sustainable design strategies. She also has significant experience in program management and construction support, coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

 

Ms. Subramanian has managed numerous high-profile aviation projects, including serving as Program Manager for Fraport Maryland’s Concession Development Program at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Project Manager for On-Call AE Services at Philadelphia International Airport, Architectural Program Manager for the Maryland Aviation Administration’s Concourse A Expansion at BWI, and Architectural Manager for On-Call Design Services at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

 

A long-time active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA),

Ms. Subramanian currently serves as President of the AIA Baltimore Chapter, where she has previously held several leadership roles on the board. 

 

Ms. Subramanian is a registered architect in Pennsylvania and Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Mumbai.
