Charles Bassano, PE, has more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry and serves as the Construction Department Manager for New Jersey.

Before joining Urban, Mr. Bassano served as the Supervising Engineer of Construction for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT). Throughout his extensive career with NJDOT, he held key roles, including Construction Field Manager and Resident Engineer.

Mr. Bassano has overseen several multi-million-dollar projects, including the $45 million Garden State Parkway Widening and the $100 million, award-winning Route 72 Manahawkin Bay Bridge Project on Long Beach Island, NJ.

A Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and Professional Planner in New Jersey, Mr. Bassano is also a Certified Municipal Engineer. He maintains a staunch commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional practice with a focus on schedule, budget, and communication. Mr. Bassano earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Mr. Bassano’s dedication to the engineering profession extends beyond his professional roles. He is the Past President of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Ocean County Chapter, and remains an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) – NJ.
