Urban is pleased to announce that Patrick Williams, PE, LEED AP, was named to ENR’s National 2021 class of Top Young Professionals. This annual awards program honors 20 individuals under 40 years old in each of Engineering News-Records’ 10 regions who have shown exceptional leadership and service throughout their careers. Mr. Williams is a senior project manager and Urban’s southwest regional leader based in Irving.
“It is truly an honor to be given this national recognition by ENR, an important publication in the A/E/C industry,” Mr. Williams said. “I want to thank my colleagues and those who nominated me, and congratulate my 19 other peers on this list.”
Mr. Williams has more than 16 years of engineering design and construction management experience, with a specialty focus on airport design and site development. He is skilled in designing pavement for runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, and parking lots; as well as completing Federal Aviation Administration-compliant obstruction analyses and security fence and gate hardening work. He is also adept at performing stormwater management calculations; designing ADA-compliant facilities; providing horizontal and vertical pipeline alignments; and applying best management practices to design, utility relocation, erosion and sediment control, and environmental permitting efforts. Mr. Williams consistently meets fast-track schedules for complex projects for clients such as the City of Dallas, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), Trinity Metro, Texas; the City of Shreveport, Louisiana, and more.
ENR’s Top 20 Under 40 were selected out of nearly 400 entries received last summer during the regional Top Young Professionals competition. These nominees represent all parts of the construction industry and came from all 50 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. The highest-scoring candidates from each of the 10 regional contests were then scrutinized by a new panel of judges to select a national Top 20 Under 40 list that represented the best of young leaders from across the country.
