Urban Engineers was presented with the 2023 Engineering Leadership Award at GVF’s 33rd Annual Meeting. The award represents the firm’s well-earned respect as a leader in the industry, as well as a commitment to transportation demand management advocacy.

“We at Urban are proud to be recognized as an engineering leader by GVF,” said Urban Vice President and Philadelphia Regional Manager Jennifer Waters, PE, LEED AP. “Our firm and employees are committed to creating sustainable infrastructure projects for our clients and supporting communities.”

Ms. Waters also served on a regional TDM leaders panel at the annual event. The panelists shared why they are actively involved in GVF, what their companies are doing to support and implement TDM, and how each of them, as GVF board members and female leaders in our industry, see the region’s future progressing.

“Congratulations to Urban Engineers, recipient of our 2023 Leadership Award. Urban Engineers is a committed supporter of GVF and TDM. We look forward to continuing to work with you to move our region forward through transportation and mobility innovation.” Rob Henry, executive director of GVF.

Urban has previously been recognized by GVF for its TDM efforts. Urban was recognized as a TDM Advocate for many of its programs, including offering incentives to employees for walking, biking, carpooling/vanpooling, or taking transit to work, and for offering the maximum pre-tax transportation benefit, as defined by the IRS.
