Urban is elevating its aviation practice with the addition of Madhuri Subramaniam, AIA, LEED AP, who will lead its national aviation market strategy and growth. Subramaniam’s addition reinforces the firm’s commitment to delivering top-notch talent to provide outstanding solutions and integrity to the aviation industry.
 

As Aviation Market Director, Ms. Subramaniam will be responsible for the firm’s aviation business line and lead Urban’s strategic pursuits nationwide. She will guide business development, strengthen client relationships, and align technical excellence with Urban’s long-term vision for growth in the aviation sector.

With more than 20 years of experience as a senior project manager and architect, Ms. Subramaniam brings extensive expertise in the design and delivery of complex transportation. She has worked on every stage of the design process, from condition surveys and concept development to construction documents and sustainable design strategies. Ms. Subramaniam also has strong experience in program management and construction support, including coordinating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
 

In aviation, she has led several major projects, including serving as Program Manager for Fraport Maryland’s Concession Development Program at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Project Manager for On-call AE services at Philadelphia International Airport, Architectural Program Manager for the Maryland Aviation Administration’s Concourse A Expansion at BWI, and Architectural Manager for on-call design services at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. A long-time active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), she is currently serving as President of the Baltimore Chapter, where she has previously spent numerous years as a board member. Her broad experience and leadership will support Urban’s continued growth in the aviation market.
