Urban Engineers Welcomes Katherine Markowitz as Senior Environmental Project Manager

Urban is pleased to announce that Katherine Markowitz has joined the firm as Senior Environmental Project Manager, bringing more than a decade of experience in environmental planning, regulatory compliance, and multidisciplinary project leadership across complex infrastructure and transportation projects.

 

In her new role, Ms. Markowitz will lead environmental initiatives that support Urban’s Integrated Engineering Services (IES) Business Unit, with a focus on regulatory strategy, NEPA documentation, environmental due diligence, and permitting. Her expertise in project management, quality assurance, and agency coordination will strengthen Urban’s ability to deliver comprehensive, compliant, and efficient solutions for clients.

 

Ms. Markowitz holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Quinnipiac University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Environmental Biology and Policy from Monmouth University, with minors in Geography, Global Sustainability, and Chemistry. Her academic background and professional experience complement her role in supporting Urban’s environmental programs.
