Urban is pleased to announce the implementation of the Urban Innovation Team, an internal resource group that will stay on the forefront of innovation in the engineering industry. The team is facilitated by Jennifer Waters, PE, Urban’s Philadelphia office manager, and Mark Kinnee, PE, Urban’s COO for horizontal services.
“Our industry is on the verge of significant change due to new trends and societal change and we realize the importance of staying well-informed on innovative tools, technologies, and techniques that will impact our clients, future services, and our communities,” said Ms. Waters. “The Urban Innovation Team will play a key role in positioning Urban as a knowledgeable competitor in transportation and built-environment innovation.”
“The mission of this new team will be to elevate our firm and increase our reputation as a respected and knowledgeable competitor in the industry,” said Mr. Kinnee. “We look forward to the ideas this group will develop that we can bring to our clients and use to improve our organization’s efficiency and growth.”
The Urban Innovation Team consists of subcommittees, each with a dedicated lead from the firm’s corresponding markets:
The Urban Innovation Team will continually focus on industry-related innovative ideas and technologies and communicate their research and analyses to co-workers, peers, and clients so that the firm can consistently provide first-rate services to clients and improve communities.
