Urban is pleased to announce that it has been named to the Adoption Center’s Adoption Honor Roll, which recognizes companies that support employees going through the adoption process. The firm was honored at the organization’s annual Celebration of Family Gala hosted at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia.
“Urban strives to provide our staff with benefits that support all families,” said Meredith Clark, PHR, an Urban vice president and director of human resources. “We are excited to have been named to the Adoption Honor Roll, and support the ongoing mission of the Adoption Center.”
“The Adoption Center congratulates Urban Engineers for its inclusion on our first Adoption Honor Roll,” says Ken Mullner, the Adoption Center’s executive director. “The benefits that extend to employees who are considering or moving through their adoption journey can often make the difference in whether or not they go on to adopt. It is such a milestone decision, and the support of an employer that understands and offers benefits is critical. We hope more companies will follow Urban’s example.”
The Adoption Center is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the number of children in foster care who move into adoptive families. Since its founding in 1972, the organization has become a leader in adoption, helping to create more than 24,000 families. Current efforts are focused on the Delaware Valley communities to create deeper and longer lasting connections and support. The Celebration of Family Gala is the Adoption Center's most significant event of the year. This year, the organization unveiled the Adoption Honor Roll to companies with outstanding support and benefits for employees who create or add to their families through adoption.
