Urban is pleased to announce that the firm was presented with a TDM Advocate Award at GVF’s annual TDM Advocates Awards event. The award represents the firm’s commitment to programs and initiatives that help reduce congestion and improve air quality, through travel demand management (TDM) and best sustainable practices.
“We at Urban are proud to be recognized as a TDM Advocate by GVF,” said Urban Vice President and Philadelphia Regional Manager Jennifer Waters, PE, LEED AP, who accepted the award on behalf of the firm. “Our firm and employees are committed to achieving sustainable commuting practices in our day-to-day operations as well as our projects.”
Urban has previously been recognized by GVF for its TDM efforts. Urban was recognized this year for many of its programs, including offering incentives to employees for walking, biking, carpooling/vanpooling, or taking transit to work, and for offering the maximum pre-tax transportation benefit, as defined by the IRS.
Advocate awards were distributed to 28 organizations. The TDM Advocates Awards event featured a keynote from Steve Wray, a senior vice president & principal at Econsult Solutions, Inc. GVF is a non-profit regional transportation association that partners with local private and public sectors to combat these challenges through TDM.
