The Society for College and University Planning has just recognized Rowan University’s Stormwater Management and Landscape Master Plan with a Merit Award for Excellence in Planning for an Existing Campus. Urban Engineers assisted BioHabitats and Ayers Saint Gross Architects+ Planners as the team planned for sustainable, functional campus landscapes that integrate stormwater management, open spaces,and connectivity. Parallel to the master plan, there was an early action design effort in which Urban provided drainage infrastructure, grading and support to landscaping to address stormwater issues in and around the University’s Memorial Hall and Linden Hall.
