Urban was honored to receive a citation from the City Council of Philadelphia recognizing and honoring the firm’s 65th anniversary and longstanding commitment to our clients and communities. Councilmember Mark Squilla presented the citation to James A. Bilella, II, Urban’s CEO & President, and Dianne Semingson, Urban’s Board Chair.

Founded and headquartered in Philadelphia since 1960, Urban has grown into a nationally recognized employee-owned engineering consulting firm. During the past 65 years, Urban’s work has helped improve infrastructure and transportation systems while creating safer, more connected communities in the Greater Philadelphia region and across the country.

The citation also recognizes Urban’s culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared ownership, in addition to the firm’s commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. We are grateful to Councilmember Squilla and the Philadelphia City Council for this recognition, as well as to our employees, clients, and partners who have been part of Urban’s journey.
