Urban Engineers is honored to be recognized as one of the inaugural recipients of the "A Better Tomorrow" awards, presented during the 2024 Mobility Conference hosted by the 82 Alliance. This recognition celebrates organizations making meaningful contributions toward sustainable, equitable, and innovative mobility solutions for a better future.

 

The event brought together a diverse group of industry leaders and experts to discuss the latest trends and strategies in mobility. The event underscored the importance of forward-thinking approaches to addressing climate change, public health, and equitable transportation access.

 

In total, 25 organizations were honored with the "A Better Tomorrow" award, highlighting the diverse contributions and efforts being made across the mobility sector. These awards recognize the collaboration and innovation required to build more sustainable and resilient cities.

 

Jen Waters, Vice President and Philadelphia Regional Manager for Urban Engineers moderated the Climate Change and Health in Cities panel. Panelists included Ariella Maron, Executive Director, DVRPC; Ana Diez Roux, Director, Drexel University, Urban Health Collaborative at the Dornsife School of Public Health; and Josiah L. Kephart, Assistant Professor, Drexel University, Urban Health Collaborative at the Dornsife School of Public Health. The discussion focused on how mobility and transportation infrastructure can adapt to climate change while promoting public health.
