With more than 30 years, Mr. McAtee oversees the New Jersey Bridge Department. His expertise includes the design of composite steel girders and prestressed concrete beam bridges, bridge rehabilitation, retaining structures, bridge inspection, and three-dimensional modeling. His portfolio of experience includes complex projects for Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and highway agencies, transit authorities, and municipal clients.
A registered Professional Engineer (PE) in five states, Mr. McAtee earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Villanova University and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Drexel University.
He is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the American Railway Engineering & Maintenance of Right-of-Way Association (AREMA), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), and the American Council for Engineering Companies (ACEC).
