 As the Scheduling Team Leader at Urban, Ernie Kuhs, PE, is an expert at combining strategic planning with cost estimation to ensure adjustments positively impact the timeline and budget.

 

With more than 10 years of AEC experience, including as an employee at PennDOT, Ernie’s work focuses on preserving, rehabilitating, and replacing structures and roadways. His notable constructability and scheduling projects include the $36 million McKeesport-Duquesne Bridge rehabilitation in Allegheny County, PA, and the $23.8 million Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) initiative located in Robinson Township, PA.

 

Previously, Ernie was the Constructability Review Manager at PennDOT, District 11-0, overseeing the district’s constructability and scheduling needs. Additionally, he served as an Assistant Structure Control Engineer, and as a Bridge Designer, specializing in bridge projects for the construction and design units. Ernie earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University. He is an active member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Pittsburgh Section.
