CELEBRATING HOW WE GIVE BACK

Urban may be a national firm, but our staff and offices are rooted in their local communities. We don’t just “do well,” we “do good.” Our firm believes in actively maintaining the health and well-being of the neighborhoods in which we live and do business. We enjoy giving back to the places that mean something to us. As we look ahead toward our 60th anniversary, we want to recognize organizations we give back to.

For the month of November, we will be tracking all of the “likes” “favorites” and “shares” on each #UR60N post on our FacebookInstagramLinkedIn, and Twitter pages that celebrate a nonprofit. We will donate $1 for each engagement to a pool that will be divided among these organization through donations or sponsorships at the end of the month, up to $2,000.

Our employees strive to improve their communities through the projects they work on and volunteering. Urban promotes service to our communities and our professions as a way to translate what we value into visible action. Here are a few types of ways we give back:

Mentoring programs:

Our staff partner with many organizations that promote the A/E/C industry to the next generation. Urban contributes financially and offers the use of our office space to help these programs continue to do good work. It is important to us to inspire the future. By supporting programs that promote STEM, we will also help increase the diversity in our industry.

Volunteering programs & sponsorships:

Our staff volunteers their time to organizations and events for causes that they support. Urban is proud to back them through sponsorships and other means. Raising awareness and giving back is a core belief at Urban.

Goodwill programs & efforts:

It is important to our firm and our staff to protect and enhance the environment. We have long been financial supporters of organizations like Independence Historical Trust, and have worked on many historical preservation projects. Urban employees have both worked and volunteered their time to protect our parks, among other conservation efforts.

Follow #UR60N on social media this month as we highlight some of the organizations that our firm and staff have been involved with. These posts demonstrate the ways Urban gives back. As we continue our journey to our 60th anniversary, we are excited to highlight the charitable causes and groups we support. Additional information about organizations we give back to can be found on our Community page.
