As Market Leader for Aviation, Christopher Gubeno, PE, manages the firm’s aviation business line and Urban’s strategic pursuits nationwide. Chris is also actively involved as a project director and manager, taking a hands-on approach to ensure the best client service.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Chris's background includes extensive planning, design, and construction experience with aviation forecasting and alternatives analysis for airport master plans and master plan updates; airport layout plans; planning integration for environmental impact statements and environmental assessments; the design of runways, taxiways, and aprons; the planning and design of utilities; design of roadways, interchanges, and ramps; the planning, design, and construction of terminal buildings, hangars, and maintenance facilities; the planning and design of parking lots and parking garages; planning and design of consolidated rental car facilities; land development for commercial and industrial properties; development and design of recreation paths and multi-use trails; and implementation of environmental controls and coordination for environmental permitting. He has worked on impactful projects nationwide at universities, airports, parks, and museums throughout his career.
A Registered Professional Engineer in 3 states, MD, PA, and VA, Chris received his bachelor’s in Systems Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He is actively involved in the Airports Consultants Council (ACC) and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).
