Urban Promotes Jared Krause to Vice President and Deputy General Manager of Facilities Construction Services

Urban is pleased to announce that Jared Krause, PE, has been promoted to vice president and deputy general manager of facilities construction services. He previously served as a practice leader and project manager, providing special inspection services to clients in New York City.

 

“Jared has been an exceptional project manager who has been providing superior service to facility owners and operators in New York,” said Stephen Ehrlich, PE, LEE AP, an Urban vice president and general manager for facilities construction services. “He is a natural choice for this role, where he will have a hand in overseeing our entire facilities construction management and inspections practice.”

 

Mr. Krause has more than 12 years of experience in engineering design, construction management, and construction inspection on a range of projects including high-rise development, tenant fit-out, site development, and horizontal infrastructure improvements. His most recent responsibilities have included overseeing the firm’s special inspection practice in New York City on projects at the Empire State Building, Facebook, Eli Lilly, Deloitte, Etsy, and more. Mr. Krause is a licensed Professional Engineer in four states, a Certified Welding Inspector, and a graduate of Rowan University - where he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in engineering management.

 

Urban has performed controlled and special inspections per Chapter 17 of the International Building Code for more than 20 years. Its special inspection practice is backed by the firm’s multidisciplinary design and construction expertise. It has been accredited by the International Accreditation Service™ (IAS) since 2012, and is registered with the New York City Department of Buildings as a Class 1 Special Inspection Agency in all 48 inspection categories. The New York City office has successfully completed over 100 special inspection projects ranging in construction value from a few million to over $250 million.
