Urban is pleased to announce that the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation (CPDC) elected Kenneth R. Fulmer, PE, to its board of directors. Mr. Fulmer is the president and CEO of Urban Engineers. He was one of the five new members confirmed at the organization’s recent membership meeting.
A lifelong resident of the Philadelphia region, Mr. Fulmer has a master's degree in engineering management and a bachelor's degree in civil and architectural engineering from Drexel University. He joined Urban Engineers full-time in 1992 after previously serving in as co-op. He rose through the ranks of the firm and has served in several leadership capacities, and he currently managed all aspects of the firm’s operations, maintaining a culture of volunteerism and service sponsorships in Greater Philadelphia.
Working in partnership with business, government, and other civic organizations, many of CPDC’s current initiatives focus on improving transportation, including promoting public transit, engaging the private sector in improved transportation management, and partnering with regional organizations on the development of high-speed rail on the Northeast Corridor. The board of directors governs CCD, representing Center City's major property owners and a wide cross section of downtown businesses, labor unions, neighborhood, civic and health-care organizations.
