The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey selected Urban to perform construction management and inspection services.
The Delta Airfield Reconfiguration Program will replace Terminals C and D at New York’s LaGuardia Airport with a state-of-the-art facility. This $4 billion program involves the demolition of existing Terminals C and D, the construction of a new Delta terminal; associated roadways; airfield re-configuration and modifications; expansion of the east garage and a new substation to support the new terminal; and a Head House.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey selected Urban to perform construction management and inspection services, including the design/build of parking garages; elevated roadways; utility infrastructure improvements; airfield modifications; demolition of existing terminals and buildings; and new terminal construction. Urban oversees Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies, coordinates facility-wide construction activities with facility operations, monitors permit compliance, and performs contract administration services.
The airport will remain fully operational during construction and is expected to be substantially completed by 2026. Once completed, it will provide new terminals, improve roadways, expand the East Parking Garage, connect to the central hall, build a new electrical substation, and reconstruct taxi and for-hire vehicle areas.
