Urban is pleased to announce that it won first place in the website category at the recent SMPS Philadelphia Philly’s Phinest Marketing Communication Awards. The local awards program is modeled on the SMPS Headquarters program that recognizes excellence in marketing communications.
“We are thrilled and honored to have our redesigned website recognized by our peers in the industry,” said Amanda Schumacher, Urban’s director of corporate development. “Our staff worked hand in hand with our web developer to conduct staff and client interviews, distribute surveys, review website analytics, and host workshops to ensure the new site resonated with our audiences.”
Urban launched its new website, www.urbanengineers.com, last summer after spending seven months working on the site with developer P’unk Ave. It was important for the new site to feature unique and engaging visual designs and clear paths to information and interaction points. It was also important to promote Urban staff as experts in the industry and showcase the breadth and depth of our work while keeping a spotlight on personnel.
The launch of the new website included an email blast to clients and industry professionals and social media posts on all of the firm’s platforms. Overall, when comparing metrics, site users have increased by almost 20%, visits to individual pages are up almost 50%, and length of visit has increased almost 35%.
