Joseph P. McAtee, PE, FCMAA, has received the Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) Chairman’s Award for his “exceptional volunteer efforts, specifically for providing guidance and support to the Board of Directors of CMAA the past year.” Mr. McAtee is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Urban and has been one of the principal owners since 1993. He has oversight responsibility for all of the firm’s design, construction, and program management activities.

“This award was developed with Joe in mind so that the Association could recognize our outstanding member volunteers,” said Bruce D’Agostino, CAE, FCMAA, CMAA President and CEO, in a letter announcing the honor. “Joe is a true ambassador for the Association, and his contribution of time and effort expended is greatly appreciated by CMAA.”

Mr. McAtee is an active member of numerous professional societies and a recognized leader in his profession. A long-time member of CMAA, he was elected to the organization’s College of Fellows in 2004, and appointed to the Foundation Board in 2005.
