The long-awaited reconstruction of Buffalo Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls, NY has resumed after a brief break for winter and Urban Engineers is leading the construction inspection efforts.

The reconstruction effort addresses the stretch of Buffalo Avenue between Veterans Drive and 63rd Street, which runs through the heart of the city’s industrial district. The reconstruction, totaling $10 million, includes new water main, sanitary sewers, storm drainage, asphalt pavement, granite curbing, sidewalks, traffic signals, signs, and pavement markings.

Work began in the summer of 2012 with the replacement of public and private utility infrastructure prior to the start of road reconstruction. The project is scheduled to be complete in January of 2014.
