The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) has selected Urban Engineers (Urban) for the design management of four total reconstruction projects. These projects include sections from Morgantown to the Downingtown Interchange, and the northern section of Lansdale to the Quakertown Interchange.

As prime consultant, Urban will be leading a team that will be responsible for the oversight of design activities and overall coordination with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, environmental agencies, township officials, and utility companies. Urban has been providing design management services to the PTC on similar projects for the past seven years.

“We are proud to have been involved with many of the reconstruction projects on this section of the Turnpike” Urban’s Highway and Bridge Director Mark Kinnee, PE, said. “The fact that we have been contracted to provide design, design management, and construction management services for over 60 miles of Turnpike reconstruction demonstrates the quality of our professional relationship with the Commission.”
