Urban Promotes Josh Gray to Director of Construction Services and Deputy Office Manager

Urban is pleased to announce that Josh Gray, PE, CCM, was promoted to director of construction services and deputy office manager for the firm’s Hartford location. In this role, he will be responsible for managing field staff and quality of services provided to clients within Connecticut, as well as business development throughout the region.


“Josh’s promotion has been well earned by his desire, dedication, support, and performance-based results during his years of service with Urban,” said Jason Cardinal, PE, an Urban vice president and Hartford office manager. “His skills and leadership have been utilized to build on our success in Connecticut, and we look forward to that success continuing as he steps into his new role.”


Mr. Gray’s 15 years of experience encompasses the full spectrum of transportation infrastructure projects from planning through construction. He is a Certified Construction Manager and registered Professional Engineer in Connecticut and California. His skill set includes construction inspection, project management, and design services for multiple federal, state, and municipal agencies including Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Connecticut Airport Authority, and various municipalities. A confident communicator and skilled engineer, he performs at a high level in all environments and positions. He is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering.
