Edwin J. Williamson, PE, has been promoted to vice president by Urban Engineers of New York, D.P.C. and named task order manager of the firm’s Project Management Oversight (PMO) Program in New York City and deputy office manager for the New York City office. Mr. Williamson brings more than 30 years of diverse experience in the utility and transportation industries to this position. He will be responsible for all aspects of the firm’s PMO operations in the Greater New York City Region.

 

Mr. Williamson’s experience includes serving as engineering and program/construction management professional for over three decades on major complex infrastructure and transportation projects throughout New York and New Jersey, as well as electric power generation facilities nationwide. His expertise ranges across all aspects of engineering management and includes design through “on-site” management, construction management and field engineering, quality assurance/quality control, and business acquisition and development.

 

A professional engineer in New Jersey, Williamson is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Construction Management Association of America. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (Newark College of Engineering) and his master’s degree in construction management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
