Urban Engineers (Urban) was recently awarded an assignment in Forest County, PA under a Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP) Review and Inspection and Miscellaneous Project Delivery Support agreement with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), District 1-0.

For this assignment, Urban reviewed existing conditions and proposed improvements for an access road on SR 4006 in Forest County. Urban also reviewed and commented on plans to improve this roadway, which included a construction plan set along with proposed Full Depth Reclamation/Pavement Design Report. The inspection of the construction is currently being covered by PennDOT personnel. PennDOT can provide Urban with future assignments under the current agreement.

Nestled between two federally designated Wild and Scenic Rivers, Forest County is located in northwest Pennsylvania. The county produces a significant amount of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s natural gas and is a primary area of interest in Marcellus Shale play.
