Joseph P. McAtee, PE, Named CMAA Director Emeritus and Liaison to the Board for the College of Fellows

 The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) has named Joseph P. McAtee, PE, Director of Emeritus to the Board of Directors and Liaison to the Board for the College of Fellows.

 

McAtee, whose service term will start in December, 2012 stated “To serve CMAA in these roles is quite an honor, not only for me, but especially for the entire Urban construction management and program management team. We continue to build a national reputation that makes this recognition possible.”

 

In 2004, McAtee became one of only 29 individuals in the United States to be honored with the “CMAA Fellow” designation. He also served as chairman for the CMAA’s Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI), which determines the individual certification status of professional construction managers.

 

McAtee joined Urban in 1967 and became one of the principal owners of the firm in 1993. He is Urban’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, with oversight responsibility for the firm’s design, construction, and program management activities. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Drexel University.
