Bernard M. Carolan, CPA, has been promoted to chief financial officer of Urban.  A vice president and member of Urban’s Executive Committee, he has served the firm as controller for nearly 13 years.

In his role as CFO, Carolan will be responsible for directing the firm’s accounting and financial activities, and working side-by-side with the CEO and Executive Committee to develop financial strategies, including financial planning, financial statement preparation, managing banking relationships, budgeting, internal controls, information systems, and compliance.

Carolan holds a master’s degree in accounting and finance from University College, Galway, Ireland and a bachelor’s degree in business studies from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
