NYC Department of Buildings announced that by May 13, 2013, entities performing inspections must be registered as Special Inspection Agencies prior to moving forward with processing an application or plan examination for construction permit, approval of a permit to begin construction, and final sign-off for certificate of occupancy (1 RCNY §101-06).
