Urban Engineers, Inc.’s Traffic Practice is proud to announce the recent selection by the City of Philadelphia to provide On-Call services for the design, construction and operation of traffic engineering related items.

Urban will be working alongside the City’s Department of Street’s Traffic Engineering to improve roadway safety and operations, reduce delay and congestion, improve the condition and management of traffic and operations infrastructure and expand the use of technology and Intelligent Transportation System.

These improvements will go toward making Philadelphia streets safer for all modes of transportation, including non-motorized ones like pedestrians (able & disabled) through 2,215 miles of City Street’s 2,950 signalized, 3,000 all-way stops and 15,000 conventional controlled intersections.
