Urban is pleased to announce that Andrew Quinn, PE, LEED AP, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Interstate Land Management Corporation (ILMC). The organization is a nonprofit joint venture between Philadelphia and Pennsylvania that manages land under and beside the I-95 corridor between the Walt Whitman and Benjamin Franklin Bridges. Mr. Quinn’s name was put forward by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.
“It is an honor to be volunteering alongside several talented and highly dedicated board members,” said Mr. Quinn. “I look forward to sharing my expertise and supporting ILMC’s behind the scenes work to increase the vibrancy of several neighborhoods. This is an exciting time as a growing number of Philadelphians connect with the Delaware River.”
Mr. Quinn is a marine structural engineer and serves as the deputy practice leader for the ports and waterways group in Urban’s Philadelphia office. He has extensive experience relating to bridges and waterfront structures. As an engineer-diver, Mr. Quinn has personally performed more than 400 hands-on underwater inspections. His experience also includes design of new marine structures and rehabilitation of existing steel, concrete, and timber marine structures.
