Urban was recently picked by Amtrak for a design project in Connecticut, further solidifying the firm’s foothold in the Constitution State.
Urban will be designing a Sanding Supply System at the New Haven Maintenance of Equipment Base.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Urban,” said Practice Leader for Rail & Transit, Greg May, PE. “This new assignment under a long-standing, open-end contract allows us the opportunity to again serve a great client in Amtrak.”
This is just the latest selection in a series for Urban in Connecticut.
“Our growth in Connecticut has been substantial and rewarding,” Urban’s Executive Vice President Ken Fulmer, PE, said. “We established a base of operations there more than a decade ago and have remained steadfast in providing quality work to our clients there from ConnDOT to Amtrak to the University of Connecticut and Bradley International Airport, as well as local municipalities, like the City of New Britain, City of Norwich, Town of Southington, and Town of Farmington.”
