Steele Helps Set Structural Standards

Urban’s Structural Practice Leader, David A. Steele, PE, LEED® AP, has been appointed to two national committees that set structural engineering standards.

Steele is now a member of the American Council of Engineering

 

Companies/Council of Structural Engineers (ACEC/CASE) National Guidelines Committee.  This group is responsible for developing and maintaining national guidelines of practice for structural engineers.

 

He has also been appointed to a committee of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE), Minimum Design Loads for Building and Other Structures.  This group published minimum design loads for buildings and is the reference standard in the International Building Code.

 

A professional engineer registered in seven states, Steele has more than 23 years of structural engineering experience.
