Roy E. Denmark, Jr., Division Director for Urban’s Ports, Waterways, and Environmental Services, was recently inducted into the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District’s Gallery of Distinguished Employees.

 

While at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Denmark held such roles as Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Project Management, the highest civilian position in the District;  Chief, Operations Division, and Chief, Regulatory Branch. He also served in numerous positions, including Deputy Director of Environmental Programs at EPA – Region III. He was the recipient of a number of awards including the Department of the Army Superior Civilian Service Award in 2011; the Department of the Army  Bronze deFleury Medal in 2010 ; Department of the Army Commanders Award for Civilian Service in 2005; US Environmental Protection Agency, Region III, Bronze Medal for Commendable Services in 1992; and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, Outstanding Achievement Award in 1988.
