Urban Engineers has again ranked high among mid-size companies located in the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey regions for “employee satisfaction”. The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, and Philly.com enlist Workplace Dynamics, of Exton, to survey employees around the region to rate their bosses and companies. This is Urban’s third time to participate in the survey and be ranked amongst the top.

To facilitate the rankings, Workplace Dynamics invited 1,640 companies with at least 50 employees in the region to participate in the survey. Of those, 152 firms with a total of 75,789 local employees were surveyed. The final product of the survey is Workplace Dynamic’s Ranking (click here for the list) of the top 100 workplaces for 2012, which comprises the 20 highest-ranked large employers, 35 midsize organizations, and 45 small firms.

“Despite the tough economic environment, we are proud that we are still able to satisfy our employees as a ‘Top Workplace,’” said Urban’s Director of Human Resources, Kimberly Bentz. Urban employees were surveyed with questions such as, “There is not a lot of frustration at my workplace,” ‘New ideas are encouraged at this organization,” and “My pay is fair for the work I do.” “With the feedback, we can see how our employees truly feel about changes we have made at Urban to cope with the economy,” said Bentz.
