Urban Engineers recently hosted the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Authorized Provider workshop at its Philadelphia headquarters. This intensive in-person workshop instructs current and aspiring Authorized Providers on methods to incorporate quality, credibility, and excellence into their continuing education and training programs and deliver the best return on investment for their learners. The workshops are held across the United States. Attendees at the workshop hosted by Urban were from Seattle, Washington; Sacramento, California; Westerville, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; Washington, DC; Atlanta, Georgia; and the Philadelphia Region.
“We were thrilled to host the Authorized Provider workshop in our new, state-of-the-art continuing education facility,” said Urban’s Manager of Professional Career Development, Carol Martsolf, PE, LEED® AP, who is serving a two-year term for the IACET Council on Standards Development. “We hope that this is the first of many such collaborations between IACET and Urban.”
IACET is known as the world-wide premier standard-setting organization for continuing education and training providers. Urban became an IACET Authorized Provider in 2008. In 2010, IACET selected Urban Engineers to receive the distinguished “Exemplar Award for Internal Training.” This award is presented annually, nationwide, to honor an organization that has exemplary, results-oriented internal programs that demonstrate cost-effective, significant, and relevant impact to the populations served.
