Congratulations to Kevin Brown, Jr., Construction Inspector at Urban Engineers (Urban), for having a scholarship presented in his name at ACE’s (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) 2014 Scholarship Breakfast.

Kevin credits his success to having mentors every step of the way. And that is why he spares his week nights to volunteer as a mentor to high school-age participants of the ACE program. Once a member himself, Kevin understands the importance of giving back and never forgetting where he came from. Urban raised the funds for this scholarship by donating $1 per click on its 2013 holiday videos.

The inaugural Kevin Brown, Jr. Scholarship went to Johnathan Capps of Christopher Dock Mennonite High School, who was selected by the ACE Mentor Program of Eastern Pennsylvania Board of Directors and Scholarship Committee.

The ACE Mentor Program is the fastest growing industry-mentoring program in the nation. The Eastern Pennsylvania chapter has awarded more than $275,000 in scholarships and grants thanks in part to breakfast sponsors.
