Mitchell Continues to Serve CMAA |

Urban is pleased to announce that Thomas E. Mitchell, PE, has been asked to continue representing the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) on the National Construction Dispute Resolution Committee (Committee).
Mitchell, who has more than 19 years of experience in construction claim resolution, began serving as the CMAA’s representative on the Committee in 2008, and was recently asked to continue serving on the Committee in 2010. Mitchell advocates the CMAA’s positions on alternate dispute resolution practices, or settling claims before they reach the litigation stage, at a national level.
The Committee, sponsored by the American Arbitration Association, provides comprehensive guidance on construction dispute avoidance, management, and resolution services and promotes the use of dispute avoidance and resolution in the construction industry. The Committee meets in Washington, DC, drawing participants from over 15 national organizations.
